Bircham Windmill

Aston Villa 4 Norwich 2

I woke up at six this morning with a start as I thought I had to go to work. Then I remembered it was Saturday and it's been uphill from there.

Our brother and sister in law are arriving later so to give the grandparents a break and a chance to organise lunch.  I suggested we take the girls to Bircham Windmill.  It was a popular choice especially as the first thing we did when we got there was have cake! My theory was that this way it wouldn't spoil their lunch.

After a quick play in the garden it was time for bread baking and climbing the windmill. I did have a passing moment of panic as we went up the windmill leaving my husband and the baby below that going down with a 10, 7 and 4 year old might not be the most sensible thing I have done.  But luckily there is a lovely book full of other crazy people mainly 80+ who have also climbed to the top. The girls loved climbing up especially finding the secret fairy door. And we made it down again safely although I may have shouted a little bit.

After a bit more playing we treated ourselves to more cake for the afternoon and headed back to reunite the girls with their mum and dad.

After a lovely meal of salads and fancy meat. Our inlaws took the older girls off to Sandringham woods so my husband and his parents could listen to the game. Leaving me some nice quiet time to play and read to our little one. She has just discovered books and loves bringing her favourite ones over to you to read to her.
